Sinopsis

Triple Nine is an English language television police procedural telecast on what was then the Television Corporation of Singapore's Channel 5 from 1995 to 1999. The station's earliest attempt in an action-based drama series, it revolved around the lives of a group of police officers, namely Inspector Mike Chin, Inspector Elaine Tay, and Sergeant Alan Leong from the Special Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Department. The cast changed in subsequent seasons, notably with the inclusion of Inspector Sean Han, Inspector Herbert de Souza, and Sergeant Yeo Lay Kim from the third season, and Sergeant Sarah Chan from the 4th season. Season 2 was written by Amos Kwok. The first season was also dubbed into Chinese and aired on Channel 8 in 1996.

James Lye and Wong Li-Lin star in this 13-parter police series as dedicated inspectors who go about solving cases such as drunk driving, missing children, organ sales and rape. The show's selling point is its distinctly Singaporean setting, so expect a prominent backdrop of HDB flats and hawker centres. As befits a cop drama, there are many adrenaline-pumping action scenes as well.

Unlike their predecessors, Robin Leong and Chong Chia Suan have martial arts in their blood. In the third season of this locally produced cop drama, we see more than one side to Inspector Sean Han and his sidekick Sgt Yeo Lay Kim's personalities

Season 4

James Lye is back on the team and Annabelle Francis joins the cast. Mike (Lye) is still dealing with Elaine's murder from the last season. Sarah is like a breath of fresh air. Annabelle Francis who plays her role describes Sarah as ‘funky, lively, and very sweet.’ She adapts to people very well. This season will explore the characters in greater depth. This season also promises more humour in the stories.
