Sebastian Aris born 7th January 2004 is a young aspiring British filmmaker. Seb is best known for The Mental Series(2016-2017) , How to make tea: project tea pot(2022), Underdeveloped(2022) and Ctrl(2023). Seb started out at 12 years old filming himself on YouTube and experimenting with the idea of storytelling. In... 2016, Seb created a show called The Mental Series(2016-2017). The show ran for 4 seasons and had modest success for Seb, it is by far the most successful project that Seb has been apart of. And at the age of 12 he wrote it, directed it, edited, produced and acting in the main role. In scale The Mental Series(2016-2017) is also the biggest project that Seb has been apart of, with the biggest budget, biggest cast, largest amount of content and like stated most popularity. As of now, the second largest project that Seb has been apart of was how to make tea: project tea pot(2022) and even the success of that was 6x smaller than The Mental Series'(2016-2017) most popular episode " Mental kid steal car"(2017). The Mental series gave Seb the confidence in storytelling, and he wanted to make more projects. Sebastian was writing and had ideas for more projects after The Mental Series(2016-2017), but was not satisfied with how he ended it. There was many scripts to continue The Mental Series(2016-2017), and that is always what Seb wanted but the cast were satisfied and did not want to continue the show. There was one more project that Seb was apart of in 2017, this included some of the old cast from The Mental Series(2016-2017). The project was a comedy sketch short-film while also being a documentation of the lead up to filming it and aftermath called The right sketch(2017). There were several projects that Seb was going to kickstart but everything ended up being put on hold and eventually Seb just took a break. Seb then returned late 2022 at age 18 with the well received comedy-short film how to make tea: project tea pot(2022) where he was a co-writer, actor, co-director and location director. How to make tea: project tea pot(2022) inspired Seb and this later pushed the start of Underdeveloped(2022).Underdeveloped(2022) was a comedy series that has modest success, Seb was a co-writer, co-lead actor, cinematographer, co-director and location director for the show. Unfortunately the show was cancelled after only 2 episodes because of poor reviews and audience score. There were talks of a reboot because of the ratings of the show, however there were creative differences between the writers. Seb had filmed a short-film in April 2023 that starred Leon Dicks as a solo lead, it was experimental and had the tittle PARANOIA (2023) but was scrapped from official release because he was not happy with the film even after it had all been filmed and cut 3 times over, Seb had directed and co-wrote it. In May 2023, Seb released Ctrl(2023). The footage was filmed the same time as PARANOIA(2023) Seb just edited the footage together into the story he planned for it initially with Leon Dicks as the solo lead, and so far the short-film has been received well. Seb was the director, writer, producer and editor of Ctrl(2023). Now Seb is working on his upcoming short-film Sully Novella(2023) which will be his most ambitious yet.
