
Alessio Genovese
Alessio Genovese is a scriptwriter, director, and reporter with extensive experience in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2014 he made "EU 013, the Last Frontier", presented at the Rotterdam Film Festival and in the main European capitals, released in theaters in France, and broadcasted on the UNTV. He... is the author of the RAI3 'documentary' Libia a year after 'which has been awarded the prestigious' Ilaria Alpi Doc Award' in 2012. Also in 2012, he received the 'Maria Grazia Cutuli Award' promoted by 'Corriere della Sera' as the best emerging journalist of the year. Since 2017 he has been promoting the participatory cinema project "FunKino - Cinema for Inclusion" with the aim of introducing disadvantaged adolescents, including migrants and prisoners, to the professions of cinema. He served as an assistant director and extras casting coordinator for Marco Bellocchio (La lotta), Matteo Garrone (Io capitano), Daniel Espinosa (Madame Luna), Michele Placido (Eterno visionario).
