Ahmed Galal

An Egyptian director, writer and producer, born in 1897. He started his career as a journalist at Al-Lataif Al-Musawara newspaper and also worked at Dar Al-Hilal. He then turned to cinema and met the Lebanese actress and producer Assia, who assigned him the responsibility of directing the film (When a... Woman Loves). He then continued writing and directing a number of films, including: (The Return of the Absent), (Zuleikha Loves Ashour), and (Shajarat Al-Durr). He died in 1947.
